Sweet 'n' Spicy Barbecued Brisket

All-American flavors for supper tonight will make this an instant family favorite.

Sweet 'n' Spicy Barbecued Brisket
from Campbell's Kitchen

Marinating Time: About 8 hr. - Prep Time: 10 min. - Cook Time: About 5 hr.

5 lb. trimmed beef brisket
 Salt & pepper
1 tbsp. garlic powder
2 cups Pace(R) Chipotle Chunky Salsa
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
 Sandwich rolls OR hamburger rolls

Directions:
 SEASON brisket with salt, pepper and garlic powder and place in 3-qt. shallow baking dish. Mix salsa, brown sugar and Worcestershire and spread over brisket. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
 BAKE covered, at 300°F. for 4 1/2 to 5 hr. or until tender. Slice or shred brisket and serve with juices on rolls. Serves 10.

Kitchen Clip:
A whole brisket will make a lot of servings. Leftovers can be refrigerated and used within 3 days, or can be wrapped well and frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator; then just reheat gently in sauce or additional barbecue sauce.
