Pace Picante Beef & Beans

The irresistible aroma of tonight's supper simmering on the stove will ensure every seat at the table is filled.

Pace Picante Beef & Beans
from Campbell's Kitchen

Prep Time: 10 min. - Cook Time: 20 min.

2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 lb. boneless beef sirloin, cut into 1" cubes
1 tbsp. chili powder
3/4 cup Pace(R) Picante Sauce
1 can (about 16 oz.) black beans
1 can (about 15 oz.) pinto beans
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes

Directions:
 MIX cornstarch and water until smooth. Set aside.
 HEAT oil in saucepot. Add beef and chili powder and cook until beef is browned and juices evaporate, stirring often.
 ADD picante sauce, black beans, pinto beans and tomatoes. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 min. or until beef is done.
 STIR cornstarch mixture and add. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Serves 6.

Kitchen Clip:
A fresh green garnish of chopped cilantro or chopped green onions add a nice "finish" to this dish.
