The delicious flavor of Campbell's Golden Mushroom Soup teams with the
tang of pineapple and the sweetness of honey, resulting in a
uniquely-flavored sauce for pork chops--and the Grand Prize winning
recipe in our original 20 Minute Recipe Challenge!
Polynesian Pork Chops
from Campbell's Kitchen
Prep/Cook Time: 20 min.
4 boneless pork chops, 3/4" thick
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can Campbell's(R) Golden Mushroom Soup
1 can (8 oz.) pineapple chunks
1/4 cup water
3 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. honey
2 cups cooked Minute(R) White Rice
Sliced green onions
Directions:
SEASON chops with garlic.
HEAT oil in skillet. Add chops and cook until browned. Add onion.
ADD soup, pineapple with juice, water, soy and honey. Heat to a boil.
Cook over low heat 10 min. or until done.
SERVE with rice and garnish with green onions. Serves 4.
Kitchen Clip:
To best retain honey's flavor, always store it at room temperature in an
airtight container, rather than in the refrigerator. If your honey has
crystallized, you can re-liquify it by placing the jar in warm water or
microwaving it on HIGH 1-2 minutes, depending on the amount of honey.
Stir intermittently.
