Kitchen Clip:
Modern pizza is known to have been the creation of an Italian baker who,
in honor of the 1889
visit of the king and queen, created a patriotic pie resembling the
Italian flag with colors
of green (basil), white (mozzarella cheese) and red (tomatoes). Pizza
today, of course, is
made with a wide variety of toppings and flavor choices to please every
palate. It's no
wonder it's one of America's favorite family meals!
