FOOD FUNNY

Here's a really good one from Rosemary Zwick:
Daddy is mowing the lawn when his young son comes running
out of the house calling to him. "Daddy, daddy, what's sex?"
asks the boy. For a moment dad is dumb struck but then decides
that if his son has asked the question, then he must do his best
to answer it. For the next few minutes dad talks about the birds
and the bees, then human relationships and love. In fact he does
a pretty good job of covering every aspect. Eventually he comes
to a stop when he sees how oddly his son is looking at him.
"Why did you want to know?" he asks.
"Well, Mummy said to come out and tell you that dinner would
be ready in two secs."

TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________
These classic drinks are especially good on a hot summer day,
and are absolutely de rigueur on Kentucky Derby day. Just mix
a couple of mint juleps, put your feet up, and start the rocking
chair rocking.
Mint Julep
2 tsp (10 ml) confectioner's (powdered) sugar
3 to 4 sprigs of fresh mint
Shaved ice
2 to 3 oz (60-90 ml) Bourbon
Put the sugar and the mint sprigs in the bottom of a tall glass.
Add a splash of water and, using a muddler or a wooden spoon,
crush the mint leaves in the bottom of the glass and dissolve
the sugar in the water. Fill the glass almost to the top with
tightly packed crushed ice. Add the bourbon and mix with a
spoon, using an up and down motion to mix the bourbon and
sugar water. Serve immediately or store in the freezer. Garnish
with a sprig of fresh mint.
Serves 1.
