Here's a clever one from Rosemary Zwick:

After I took a job at a small publishing house, the first books
I was assigned to edit were all on the topic of dieting. "Isn't the
market flooded with these types of books?" I asked another
editor. "How do we expect to turn a profit?"

"Don't worry," he assured me. "These books appeal to a wider
audience than most."

                            TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________

This old recipe is as much poetry and folklore as it is a recipe.
This drink is still as popular in England as it is in the Caribbean.
The traditional recipe is simply "One of sour, Two of sweet,
Three of strong, Four of weak." That is, 1 part sour (lime juice),
2 parts sweet (simple syrup), 3 parts strong (rum), and 4 parts
weak (water). Here is what it looks like in standard recipe format:

Traditional Rum Punch

1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh lime juice
1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar dissolved in 1/2 cup (125 ml) water
3/4 cup (190 ml) rum (dark or light) of your choice
1 cup (250 ml) water
Angostura bitters
Fresh nutmeg

Mix the first four ingredients together in a mixing glass or small
bowl and chill. Serve in a tumbler or over ice with a dash of
Angostura bitters and a grating of nutmeg.
Serves 2.
