Thanks to Freddie Johnson in San Antonio, Texas for sharing this with us:

EXERCISE FOR PEOPLE OVER 50

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface where you have
plenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb potato bag in each
hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold
them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.

Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a
bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.

Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to
where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold
your arms straight for more than a full minute. (I'm at this level.)

After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each bag.

                            TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________

There is really nothing even remotely resembling a standard
version of this sauce because everyone makes it differently.
Consider all of the ingredients except the soy sauce optional,
and vary them to create your own version. Put it on the table
so people can dip their egg rolls in it or spoon it over vegetable,
rice, and noodle dishes.

Chinese Soy Dipping Sauce

2 Tbs (30 ml) soy sauce
1 Tbs (15 ml) fish sauce (nam pla, nuoc mam), or to taste (optional)
1 Tbs (15 ml) water, or to taste (optional)
1 tsp (5 ml) grated fresh ginger, or to taste (optional)
1 tsp (5 ml) finely chopped garlic, or to taste (optional)
1 tsp (5 ml) finely chopped scallion (spring onion), or to taste (optional)
1 tsp (5 ml) sugar, or to taste (optional)
1/4 tsp (1 ml) red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper, or to taste (optional)

Combine all the ingredients, stirring to dissolve the sugar if used.
Will keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
Serve at room temperature.
