Thanks to Rosemary Zwick for this one:

For the first time in many years, an old man traveled from his rural
town to the city to attend a movie. After buying his ticket, he stopped
at the concession stand to purchase some popcorn. Handing the attendant
$1.50, he couldn't help but comment, "The last time I came to the
movies, popcorn was only 15 cents."

"Well, sir," the attendant replied with a grin, "You're really going to
enjoy yourself. We have sound now."

Keep this quick and easy dish in mind as a healthy alternative to French fries.

Sweet Potato and Parmesan Oven Fries

1 1/2 - 2 lbs (about 2 large) sweet potatoes, peeled if desired
About 2 Tbs (30 ml) olive oil
About 1/4 cup (60 ml) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Cut the sweet potatoes into rounds about 1/2 inch (1 cm) thick. Toss
with the olive oil to coat, then toss with the Parmesan, salt, and
pepper to coat both sides. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet and
bake in a preheated 350F (180C) oven for 15 minutes. Turn the sweet
potatoes and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 10 to 15 minutes more.
Serves 4 to 6.
