FOOD FUNNY
__________________________________________________
This one from Anna Welander is so true that it probably shouldn't
even be considered a food funny:
Karaoke bars combine two of the nation's greatest evils; people
who shouldn't drink with people who shouldn't sing.

TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________
If you still have cranberry sauce left over from the holidays, this
recipe will come in handy if you've been wondering what to do
with it. Otherwise, any cranberry sauce, whether fresh, canned,
cooked, or raw, will add a new twist to the venerable baked apple.
Baked Apples with Cranberry Sauce
4-6 large apples, cored to within 1/2 inch (1 cm) from the bottom
About 3/4 cup (180 ml) any type of cranberry sauce
Fill the apples with the cranberry sauce and place in a baking
dish with about 1/2 inch (1 cm) of water in the bottom. Bake in
a preheated 375 (190C) oven until tender, about 45 minutes.
Serve warm, chilled, or at room temperature. Serves 4 to 6.
