Thanks to L. Hadley "back in Hurricane Alley, Florida" for this
insight:

"You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline -
it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear
weapons, but at the very least you need a beer." - Frank Zappa

            TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________

Here are three ridiculously easy recipes to wrap up our week of quick
and easy party foods.

Nutty Dates

Pitted dates
Goat cheese
Chopped pistachios, walnuts, pecans, or nut of your choice

Split the dates and fill them with a little goat cheese. Dip in the
chopped nuts to coat the upper portion and arrange on a serving
platter.

Peanut Butter Scoops

Vanilla ice cream
Peanut butter
Chocolate syrup

Warm the ice cream in the refrigerator until soft but still frozen.
Fold in peanut butter to taste and freeze until firm. Serve in scoops
topped with chocolate sauce.

Apple Snow

Note: The following recipe contains uncooked egg whites. If
salmonella contamination is a concern in your area, please use
pasteurized egg whites or dried egg whites for this recipe.

3 egg whites
2 cups (500 ml) apple sauce
Honey, caramel ice cream topping, or chocolate sauce (optional)

Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in the apple sauce.
Refrigerate until ready to eat. Serve by itself in wine glasses or
with topping of your choice if desired. Serves 4 to 6.
