FOOD FUNNY
__________________________________________________
Thanks to Darlene Shryock for this true food funny:
A friend of mine who works third shift had to take a cake to work one
night for a covered dish but knew she wouldn't have time that day to
bake. She took the ingredients to her mother's and asked her to bake
it for her. She knew her mother's house plants weren't doing so well,
so she decided to take her some Miracle Grow plant food as well. That
evening she picked up the cake and without looking at it, took it to
the potluck. When someone mentioned the "odd" taste about the cake,
my friend looked at it and realized her mother had sprinkled the
Miracle Grow green crystals on top of it and used the regular
sprinkles on her plants. Needless to say, nothing grew!

TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________
The other drink recipes I have featured this week have been
non-alcoholic, but I'm afraid there is no way to make this drink
without popping open a beer. This classic British summertime cooler
has been a favorite in my family for several decades, and I'm always
surprised at how few Americans are familiar with it.
Lager 'N' Lime
1 Tbs (15 ml) Rose's lime juice
12 oz (375 ml) cold beer
Pour the Rose's lime juice into a beer mug or tall glass and add the
beer. Serves 1.
