Here's a "could be true" food funny from reader Nancy Russell of
Columbia, Missouri:
Two children ordered their father to stay in bed one Father's Day
morning. As he lay there looking forward to breakfast in bed, the
smell of bacon floated up from the kitchen. But after a good long
wait he finally went downstairs to investigate. He found them both
sitting at the table eating bacon and eggs.
"As a surprise for Father's Day," one explained, "we decided to cook
our own breakfast."

Daddy will love these because you made them with some of his favorite
things - cookies and ice cream!
Dad's Favorite Ice Cream Sandwiches
Some of Dad's favorite cookies* (you can use
store-bought cookies, or ones your Mom helps
you make)
Some of Dad's favorite flavor ice cream*
Chocolate sprinkles or mini chocolate chips (optional)
Place a big spoonful of Dad's favorite ice cream on top of one of his
favorite cookies. You might have to let the ice cream sit at room
temperature for about 10 minutes if it is too hard. Place another
cookie on top and gently squeeze to make a nice sandwich shape. If
you want to make them really fancy, roll the edges in chocolate
sprinkles or mini chocolate chips. Place them in an airtight bag and
freeze until ready to serve. Be sure to make enough so you can have
one with Daddy, and more for when you both want seconds. Don't forget
to make some for the other members of the family too.

or mint chocolate chip ice cream
Peanut butter cookies with banana ice cream
