Reader Suzie says she had to clean this joke up a little to make it
acceptable for publication here, and her efforts are appreciated.
Little Johnny was sitting on a park bench munching on one candy bar
after another. After the sixth one a man on the bench across from him
said, "Son, you know eating all that candy isn't good for you. It
will give you acne, rot your teeth, and make you fat."
Little Johnny replied, "My grandfather lived to be 107 years old."
The man asked, "Did your grandfather eat six candy bars at a time?"
Little Johnny answered, "No, but he did mind his own business!"

This week's recipes won't win any prizes for culinary excellence, but
they are designed with the young cook in mind, so who cares. I have
devised five easy to prepare dishes so that the youngsters in your
house can brag "I cooked dinner for Daddy" on Father's day.
Your Daddy is sure to love these tasty appetizers because you used his
favorite crackers, and especially because you made them just for him.
Not Quite Nachos
Some of your Daddy's favorite crackers or tortilla chips
Some grated sharp cheddar cheese
Sliced pickled jalapeno peppers, or sliced black olives,
or sliced dill pickles (whichever your Daddy likes best)
Place 3 or 4 crackers per person on a baking sheet. Sprinkle a little
grated cheese on top of each one, and top with a slice of jalapeno,
olive, or pickle. Put the baking sheet in a preheated 350F (180C)
oven for about 5 minutes, just until the cheese starts to melt.
Remove from the oven (carefully, it's hot - be sure to ask for help if
you need to). Put them on a plate and give them to Daddy with a kiss
and a big smile.
