Here's a good one from reader Caroline Boyer:
A man sat down in a restaurant and asked the waitress what the daily
special was. She replied, "Boiled tongue."
"Boiled tongue!" responded the horrified customer, "That's disgusting!
There's no way that I'd ever eat anything that's been in a cows mouth.
Just give me two eggs over easy, some link sausage, and a glass of
milk instead!"

Peanuts find their way into many West African dishes, and peanut soups
are found over much of the continent. Here is an extremely easy one
from Ghana that will surely please lovers of spicy foods.
Ghanaian Peanut Soup
6 cups (1.5 L) chicken stock
2/3 cup (180 ml) peanut butter
1/2 cup (125 ml) tomato paste
1/4 cup (60 ml) dry white wine (optional)
1/4 tsp (1 ml) cayenne pepper, or to taste
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Bring the chicken stock to a simmer over moderate heat and stir in the
remaining ingredients. Simmer over low heat until the fat from the
peanut butter rises to the surface, about 20 minutes. Skim off the
fat. Serve hot or thoroughly chilled. Serves 4 to 6.
