::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: FOOD FUNNY :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Here's a true food funny, compliments of "Pgaizer."

My grandson, age 3 1/2, was helping make some cookies when he noticed
a fly on the kitchen window. "A bug....A BUG!" he exclaimed.

I told Cameron that there were all kinds of bugs in the world, both
good and bad, and that they all served a purpose. "I really LOVE
bugs, Nana!" said Cam. "Specially rolly-pollies! But I don't like
ants....no no! I hate ants!"

"And why's that?" I asked, to which he replied "'Cause they bite my
tongue!!"

::::::::::::::::::::::::::: TODAY'S RECIPE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The final entry in our "Vegan Gourmet" week is a simple dough that can
be dressed up however you like. Simply spread the dough out on a pan
or baking sheet, top it with your favorite goodies, and bake it in a
hot oven until the toppings are hot and the edge of the dough is
lightly browned.

Basic Pizza Dough

1+1/4 cups (300 ml) all-purpose flour
1 package (1 Tbs, 15 ml) fast-rising yeast
1/2 tsp (2 ml) sugar
1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt
1/2 cup very hot water

Combine 1 cup (250 ml) of the flour along with the remaining
ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir the ingredients together, adding
enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Knead the dough on a
floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Cover the
dough with the inverted mixing bowl and allow to stand for 15 to 20
minutes. Makes one 12-inch pizza crust.
