::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: FOOD FUNNY :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I am pretty sure I have run this food funny before, but who cares.
Thanks to reader Linda Smith for sending it in.
Waiter: "Tea or coffee, gentlemen?"
1st customer: "I'll have tea."
2nd customer: "Me, too. And be sure the glass is clean!" (Waiter
exits, returns)
Waiter: "Two teas. Which one asked for the clean glass?"
::::::::::::::::::::::::::: TODAY'S RECIPE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I expect to be a little bit harried for the next
few days, so it seemed only natural to put together a "Quick and Easy"
menu this week.
This recipe is a variation on the classic prosciutto and melon recipe
that I feature on the web site
<http://wwrecipes.com/recipes.htm#Monday>.
The smaller pieces make it ideal for a holiday party.
Prosciutto with Fruit
Prosciutto or Virginia ham, very thinly sliced
A selection of any of the following:
Bite-size pieces of fresh pineapple, pear, peach, or plum
Melon balls
Fresh cherries, pitted
Fresh figs
Wrap the individual pieces of fruit in a small piece of ham and spear
with toothpicks. Arrange attractively on a serving platter.
