"The Thunderstorm"*

*One summer evening, during a violent thunderstorm,
a mother was tucking her small boy into bed. She
was about to turn off the light when he asked with a tremor
in his voice, "Mommy, will you sleep with me tonight?"

The mother smiled and gave him a reassuring hug.
"I can't dear," she said, "I have to sleep with Daddy."

A long silence was broken at last by a shaken little
voice saying, "The big sissy."

"Dad's Baldness"*

*Little Johnny was eating breakfast one morning
and got to thinking about things. "Mommy, mommy,
why has daddy got so few hairs on his head?" he
asked his mother.

"He thinks a lot," replied his mother, pleased with
herself for coming up with a good answer to her
husband's baldness.

Or she was until Johnny thought for a second and
asked, "So why do you have so much hair?"
