"Little Johnny's Show & Tell"

Little Johnny is at school, and at the end of the day
the teacher ask the students to bring one electrical
appliance, for "Show & Tell" the next day. So the
next day every kid has something.

The teacher asks Wendy: "What did you bring?"
Wendy: "I brought a CD Player."
Teacher: "And what is it for?"
Wendy: "You can listen to music with it!"

Teacher: "That is nice Wendy, and what did
you bring Kenny?"
Kenny: "I brought a electrical can opener, it opens
cans, miss!"

Teacher: "Well done, Kenny, but I see that Johnny
didn't bring anything!"
Johnny: "Yes, I did. It's in the hall."

The whole class looks out into the hall.
Teacher: "WHAT IS THAT, JOHNNY?"

Johnny: "It is a heart/lung device, they use it in hospitals
to keep your heart going!"

Teacher: "How did you get it here? What did your parents
say about it?"

Johnny: "Well, my mom doesn't know I brought it here,
but my father said: AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

"Space Mountain"

Our seven-year-old daughter was thrilled when we
took her to Disney World for the first time and headed
straight for Space Mountain. I worried that the roller
coaster would be too scary for her, but she insisted.
To her delight, we rode it twice.

The next year we returned to the Magic Kingdom, and
my daughter, now eight, again dragged me to Space
Mountain. As we stood in line, though, I could see
her soberly studying the signs that warn about the
ride's speed.

"Dad," she said, "I don't think I want to go."

I asked her why she would be nervous when she
had enjoyed herself last time.

She replied, "This year, I can read."
