"About the Smiths"

"Everybody is talking about the big quarrel the
Smiths from across the street had," said the
wife. "Gladys and Margo think Mrs. Smith is
completely right and Bernice and Kitty think Mr.
Smith is right. Personally, I think that Mr. Smith
is horrible. I don't see how she puts up with him."

"I don't suppose there are a few eccentrics in the
crowd who bother to mind their own business?"
commented the husband.

"Wife Swap"

Sarah was reading a newspaper while her
husband was engrossed in a game on TV.
Suddenly, she burst out laughing. "Listen to
this, there's a classified ad here where a guy
is offering to swap his wife for a season tickets."

"Hmmm," her husband said, not bothering to
look away.

Sarah said teasingly, "Would you swap me for
season tickets?"

"Absolutely not," he said, "season's more than
half over."
