"Olaf Olaffsen"

Walking through Chinatown, a tourist is
fascinated with all the Chinese restaurants,
shops, signs and banners. He turns a corner
and sees a building with the sign, "Hans
Olaffsen's Laundry."

"Hans Olaffsen?" he muses. "How the heck
does that fit in here?" So he walks into the
shop and sees an old Chinese gentleman
behind the counter. The tourist asks, "How
did this place get a name like "Hans
Olaffsen's Laundry?" The old man answers,
"Is name of owner."

The tourist asks, "Well, who and where is
the owner?"

"Me, is right here," replies the old man.

"You? How did you ever get a name like
Hans Olaffsen?"

"Is simple," says the old man. "Many, many
year ago when come to this country, was
stand in line at Documentation Center.
Man in front was big blonde Swede. Lady
look at him and go, "What your name?"
He say, "Hans Olaffsen."

Then she look at me and go, 'What your
name?'"

"I say, Sem Ting."

"Immigration Laws"

1. If you migrate to this country, you must
speak the native language.

2. You have to be a professional or an investor.
No unskilled workers allowed.

3. There will be no special bilingual programs
in the schools, no special ballots for elections,
all government business will be conducted in
our language.

4. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote
no matter how long they are here.

5. Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold
political office.

6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the
taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no
health care, or other government assistance
programs.

7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but
it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times
the daily minimum wage.

8. If foreigners do come and want to buy land
that will be okay, BUT options will be restricted.
You are not allowed waterfront property. That
is reserved for citizens naturally born into this
country.

9. Foreigners may not protest; no demonstrations,
no waving a foreign flag, no political organizing,
no bad-mouthing our president or his policies;
if you do you will be sent home.

10. If you do come to this country illegally,
you will be hunted down and sent straight
to jail.

Harsh, you think?
