"Family Tradition"
A young couple got married, and when the wife
prepared to bake a ham to celebrate their first
Thanksgiving, she carefully cut off each end
before placing it in the pan. Her husband asked
her why she did that and she replied, "I don't
know--it's what my mother always did. But I
can ask her."
She called Mom, who responded, "I always saw
your Grandma do it, so I did the same."
They decided to check further, so the young bride
then called Grandma, who explained, "It was the
only way I could get it to fit into my pan."

"Six Legged Turkey"
An industrious turkey farmer was always
experimenting with breeding to perfect a
better turkey.
His family was fond of the leg portion for dinner
and there were never enough legs for everyone.
After many frustrating attempts, the farmer was
relating the results of his efforts to his friends at
the general store. "Well, I finally did it! I bred a
turkey that has 6 legs!"
They all asked the farmer how it tasted. "Don't
know," said the farmer. "Never could catch the
SOB!!!"
