calzone is a great way to enjoy home-baked pizza flavors in under an
hour - what's not to love about that?
Calzone
from Campbell's Kitchen
Thaw Time: 8 hr.
Prep Time: 10 min.
Bake Time: 20 min.
Stand Time: 5 min.
1 loaf (1 pound) frozen white bread dough, thawed
1/2 cup PregoŽ Italian Sausage & Garlic Italian Sauce *or* PregoŽ Mini
Meatball Italian Sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 6 ounces)
1. Heat the oven to 400°F.
2. Roll the dough into a 14-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
Place the dough on a greased baking sheet.
3. Spread the sauce over *half* of the dough to within 1-inch of the
edge. Top with the cheese. Fold the dough in half over the filling.
Crimp the edges to seal.
4. Bake for 20 minutes or until it's golden. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Serve with additional sauce.
/Tip*:*/ Recipe can be doubled to make 2 calzones.
Makes: 4 main dish or 8 appetizer servings.
