Italian flavors always bring them to the table, and tonight's dinner is as easy as pie!
Skillet Picante Chicken Italiano
from Campbell's Kitchen
Prep Time: 10 min. - Cook Time: 20 min.
1 egg OR 2 egg whites
2 tbsp. water
4 boneless chicken breast halves
1/2 cup Italian-seasoned dry bread crumbs
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups Prego(R) Traditional Pasta Sauce
1 cup Pace(R) Picante Sauce
4 cups hot cooked spaghetti
Directions:
MIX egg and water in shallow dish. Dip chicken into egg mixture. Coat with bread crumbs.
HEAT oil in skillet. Add chicken and cook 10 min. or until browned. Set chicken aside.
ADD pasta sauce and picante sauce. Heat to a boil. Return chicken to pan. Cover and cook over low heat 5 min. or until done. Serve with spaghetti. Serves 4.
Kitchen Clip:
This skillet supper needs only a salad of sliced oranges and chopped lettuce, and a loaf of Pepperidge Farm(R) Garlic Bread to be complete. Pick up a fresh bakery item to serve for dessert.
