Celebrate Grandparent's Day this Sunday by serving up this classic
comfort food with an Italian twist. You can count on Campbell's(R) to
make every meal extraordinary.
Italian-Style Meat Loaf
from Campbell's Kitchen
Prep Time: 15 min. - Cook Time: 1 hr. 20 min.
1 cup Prego(R) Traditional Pasta Sauce
2 lb. ground beef
1 1/2 cups Pepperidge Farm(R) Herb Seasoned Stuffing
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
MIX thoroughly
1/2 cup pasta sauce, beef, stuffing, onion and eggs. Shape firmly into
8x4" loaf in baking pan.
BAKE at 350°F. for 1 hr. 15 min. or until done. Spoon remaining pasta
sauce over meat loaf and sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 min. or until
cheese is melted. Serves 8.
Kitchen Clip:
Mix the meat loaf the night before or in the morning, cover and
refrigerate. Put in the oven when you walk in the door. Cut potato
wedges, toss with a little oil and seasoned salt and bake on a shallow
pan in the same oven with meat loaf. Serve warm Pepperidge Farm(R)
Country Style Dinner Rolls and buttered peas to complete the menu. Meat
loaf leftovers make great sandwiches for tomorrow's lunches.
