Have a star-spangled Fourth by planning an all-American grill menu to
enjoy alfresco. The Campbell's(R) Kitchen has plenty of tasty,
crowd-pleasing ideas.
Wild West Picante Burger
from Campbell's Kitchen
Prep/Cook Time: 15 min.
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup Pace(R) Picante Sauce
4 hamburger rolls
Directions:
MIX thoroughly beef and picante sauce. Shape firmly into 4 patties,
1/2" thick.
GRILL patties 10 min. or until done, turning once and brushing often
with additional picante sauce.
SERVE on rolls with additional picante sauce. Serves 4.
Kitchen Clip:
Tender, juicy burgers from the grill are definitely one of summer's
hallmarks. For the most tender burgers, use twice-ground beef from your
butcher, and handle the beef as little as possible. For minimal cleanup,
wear disposable gloves when mixing ground beef and picante sauce and to
gently shape burgers. Cover a plate or tray with plastic wrap, then
place raw burgers on the plastic wrap. Carry to grill; grill burgers,
discard plastic wrap and use the same (clean) plate to carry grilled
burgers to serving area.
