Use the microwave or stovetop to cook fresh green beans for this recipe.
To microwave, place diagonally-cut snap beans in a microwave-safe dish

minutes or until tender, stirring halfway through. On the stovetop,
place beans in a steamer basket over boiling water or broth, or directly
in the water or broth, in a tightly covered pot for 3 to 5 minutes.
