FOOD FUNNY

Here's a cute one from Rosemary Zwick:
While I was shopping for meat, fruit and vegetables, one of
the salespeople came running up to me. “I just saw someone
driving off with your BMW!”
“Did your try to stop him?”
“No,” said the clerk, “but don't worry. I got the license plate number!”

TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________
In addition to being exceptionally quick and easy to prepare,
this dish has the added virtues of elegance and tastiness.
Hot Berries and Cream
1 cup (25 ml) sour cream
1 Tbs (15 ml) sugar
The grated zest of 1 lime
1/2 tsp (2 ml) ground cinnamon
1 pint (500 ml) fresh whole blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, or
halved strawberries
1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar
Stir together the sour cream, sugar, lime zest, and cinnamon
in a mixing bowl. Gently fold in the berries and transfer to a
shallow baking dish or gratin dish. Sprinkle with the brown
sugar and place under a preheated broiler. Broil until the
brown sugar melts, 2 to 3 minutes.
Serves 4 to 6.
