FOOD FUNNY

Thanks to RLRuss for sharing this classic food funny with us:
There was a tragedy at the brewery a little while ago. Bubba
and Bo are helpers, and while some would say "God only filled
them to the neck," they are good boys. Well, Bo just drowned
in one of the beer vats. Bubba, being Bo's lifelong friend, took
it upon himself to go and tell Bo's wife, Cookie, about the terrible
accident. Bubba dragged himself up the hill to Cookie's apartment
and knocked on the door. When Cookie opened the door, Bubba
just teared up and told her that Bo fell in the beer vat and drowned.
Cookie started wailing and sobbing and shouted, "Bo's been
took to Jesus? How can he be gone in the blink of an eye?"
Bubba felt he had to give her the rest of the story. "It weren't
all that fast, Cookie. He did get out three times to pee."

Here is a nice, light dessert from a region not particularly noted
for nice, light desserts. Feel free to top it with chocolate sauce,
honey, or warm fruit preserves.
German Cottage Cheese Souffle (Quarkenflauf)
1 lb (450 g) cottage cheese
1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar
3 Tbs (45 ml) all-purpose flour
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup (125 ml) raisins
Grated rind of 1 lemon
A pinch of salt
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Butter and sugar for preparing the baking dish
Combine the cottage cheese, sugar, flour, and egg yolks in
an electric blender or food processor and process until smooth.
Stir in the raisins, lemon zest, and salt. Fold in the beaten
egg whites and pour into a souffle dish that has been buttered
and coated with sugar on the inside. Bake in a preheated 450F
(220C) oven until the souffle has risen and the top is golden
brown, 35 to 45 minutes. Serve immediately.
Serves 4 to 6.
