Nothing beats fresh fruit for a quick and easy summer dessert.
These peaches have been "dressed up" and are ready for any
occasion, no matter how casual or formal.
Balsamic Peaches
6 peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced into thick wedges
3 Tbs (45 ml) balsamic vinegar
3 Tbs (45 ml) brown sugar
1/2 tsp (2 ml) freshly ground pepper, or to taste
Combine all the ingredients in a non-metallic bowl and toss to
combine. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving. Serve
with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
Serves 4 to 6.
