Thanks to Rosemary Zwick for this one:

The government will be requiring new food labels that are more
specific. Products will now be labeled "no fat", "low fat",
"reduced fat" and "fat, but with a great personality."

My mother has made this liqueur and given it as Christmas gifts for more
than 30 years.
Make it a holiday tradition in your family too.

Peach Cordial

3 lbs (1.5 kg) peaches, pitted and quartered
2 1/2 cups (625 ml) sugar
4 strips lemon peel, each about 2 inches (5 cm) long
1 stick cinnamon (approx. 4 inches, 10 cm)
4 whole cloves
1 quart (1 L) vodka

Place the ingredients in a gallon (4 L) jar, stirring to dissolve
the sugar. Put in a cool, dark place for at least 3 weeks.
Strain through cheesecloth before serving.
Makes about 1 1/2 quarts (1.5 L).
