Thanks to Anna Welander for this one:

The board of education in a nearby town sold off a building
that had been a one-room schoolhouse. The buyer converted
it to a tavern. One day an elderly man was walking by the
place with his grandson and pointed to the building. "That's
where I went to school when I was your age."

"Really," said the boy. "Who was your bartender back then?"

Here's a quick and easy low-fat (and low-cost) alternative to the
fried tortilla chips you buy in a bag.

Toasted Tortilla Chips (Tostaditas al Horno)

12 corn tortillas
About 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
Salt to taste (optional)

Brush one side of each tortilla lightly with a little vegetable oil.
Alternately, spray them lightly with cooking spray. Stack them
up and cut into as many wedges, from 4 to 8, as desired. Place
as many as will fit in a single layer on a large baking sheet and
bake in a preheated 325F (165C) oven until crisp and lightly
browned, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with salt while hot if
desired. Repeat with the remaining tortillas. Store in an airtight
container for up to 1 week.
Serves 4 to 6.
