Here's some food for though sent in by Anna Welander:

It is with narrow-souled people as with narrow-necked bottles: the less
they have in them, the more noise they make in pouring it out. - Alexander Pope

                            TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________

This dish has been a favorite of my mother's for so long that she can't
remember where she first learned of it.

Hot Avocado

1/2 cup (125 ml) mayonnaise
1 Tbs (15 ml) lemon juice
2 Tbs (30 ml) finely chopped celery
Salt to taste
Dash of paprika
1 Tbs (15 ml) finely chopped onion
6 oz (150 g) fresh or canned crab meat
2 to 3 avocados, cut in half, pit removed

Combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, celery, salt, paprika, onion and
crab meat in a bowl and stir to mix well. Spoon into the hollow of the
avocado halves and place on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 375F
(190C) oven for 10 minutes, until warmed through.
Serves 4 to 6.
