Three animals in a bar were having a huge argument over who was the
best. The first animal, a hawk, claimed that because of his ability to
fly, he could attack anything repeatedly from above, and his prey had hardly a chance.

The second, a lion, based his claim on his strength. No one in the
jungle dared to challenge him, King of the Jungle.

The third, a skunk, insisted he needed neither flight nor strength to
frighten off any creature with his unique arsenal.

As the three debated the issue, a grizzly bear came along and swallowed
them all; hawk, lion and stinker!

                            TODAY'S RECIPE

I think whoever invented the bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich was one
of the greatest unheralded geniuses the world has ever know. With just a
few well-chosen ingredients, it has become one of the finest culinary
creations of all time. I also think that this open-faced version is
right up there in terms great flavor and ease of preparation.

Breakfast BLT

1 large slice of sourdough or bread of your choice
2-3 thin slices tomato
1-2 slices bacon, cooked
1-2 thin slices of Cheddar, Swiss, or cheese of your choice
1 poached egg

Place the bread on a baking sheet and broil until lightly toasted. Turn
the bread over and top with the tomato, bacon, and cheese. Broil until
the cheese melts, top with the poached egg, and serve immediately.
Serves 1.
