FOOD FUNNY

There is never a bad time for a little food poetry. Thanks to Rosemary
Zwick for sharing this:
The tower of Pizza I've seen.
No, "Tower of Pisa," I mean
The difference is that
One make-a-you fat
The other? It make-a-you lean.

TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________
This is my own variation on a traditional Yugoslavian dish called
cevapcici (pronounced cheh-VOP-chee-chee, or something like that), or
cevaps for short. They are usually served as thumb-sized sausages, but
my little cheeseburger version makes an excellent hors d'oeuvre.
Cevapcici (Yugoslavian Meatballs)
1 1/2 lbs (675 g) ground beef
1 medium onion, peeled and grated
2 - 4 cloves garlic, peeled and finely chopped
2 Tbs (30 ml) paprika
A grating of fresh nutmeg
Cayenne pepper to taste
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
1 cup (250 ml) crumbled feta cheese
Combine all ingredients except the feta cheese and mix well. Form into
small patties about 1 to 1 1/2 inches (2.5 - 3 cm) in diameter. Grill,
broil or pan fry, turning once, until done. Top with crumbled feta
cheese and serve with toothpicks.
Serves 6 to 8 as an appetizer.
