             FOOD FUNNY

Thanks to Rosemary Zwick for sending us this classic food funny:

A bricklayer routinely complained about the contents of his lunch box.
"I'm sick and tired of getting the same old thing!" he shouted one day.
"Tonight I'll set my wife straight."

The next day the men could hardly wait until lunch time to hear what
happened. "You bet I told her off," the bricklayer boasted. "I said, "No
more of the same old stuff. Be creative!' We had one heck of a fight,
but I got my point across."

He had indeed. In front of an admiring audience, he opened his lunch box
to find that his wife had packed a coconut -- and a hammer.

             TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________

Rather than give quantities for this recipe, I'll just list the
ingredients and give the procedure, and you decide how many to make
based on the number of mouths you have to feed. Plan of 3 to 6 per
person as an hors d'oeuvre.

Smoked Salmon Rolls

Smoked salmon
Cream cheese
Chopped fresh chives or parsley
Sweet pickles or gherkins, cut into small pieces

Cut the salmon into strips about 1/2 inch (1.5 cm) wide and 2 inches (5
cm) long. Mix the cream cheese and fresh herbs together and spread on
the salmon pieces. Roll the salmon around a piece of pickle and secure
with a toothpick.
