April Rogers writes, "As a fairly new diabetic I found this extremely funny."

A fellow nurse at my hospital received a call from an anxious woman.
"I'm diabetic and I'm afraid I've had too much sugar today," she said.

"Are you lightheaded?" my colleague asked.

"No, I'm a brunette."

Fresh herbs are the key to this classic seasoning blend. Use it on
steaks and chops, or rub it under the skin of chicken or other birds
whether you are planning to grill, broil, fry, or roast them.

Tuscan Herb Rub

1/2 cup (125 ml) olive oil
1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped fresh parsley
2 Tbs (30 ml) chopped fresh oregano leaves
2 Tbs (30 ml) salt
2 Tbs (30 ml) freshly ground pepper
1 Tbs (30 ml) chopped fresh sage leaves
2-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Mix all the ingredients together and refrigerate covered for at least
1 hour before using. Rub onto beef, pork, poultry, or fish about 30
minutes before cooking for best results.
Makes about 3/4 cup (180 ml).
