FOOD FUNNY

I love this one from Rosemary Zwick:
It was rumored that a rather elderly man had a fantastic memory.
Hundreds of people asked him questions which he was able to answer. A
skeptical young man set out to find this man. When he did, he thought
he'd conduct a test.
After standing in a long queue of people asking questions it was finally
his turn. He asked the man what he had had for breakfast exactly 10
years ago. The man replied, "Eggs."
The young man went off not entirely satisfied because there was no
evidence to prove that the answer was correct.
Ten years later the young man comes across the elderly man again. Very
pleased to see him he greets him in a friendly fashion. The elderly man
looks up at him, pauses for a moment and then replies, "Scrambled."

TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________
Most garlic lovers will agree that the only thing better than garlic is
roasted garlic. This recipe makes a relatively mild spread, so if you
love garlic you might want to increase the amount.
Roasted Garlic Spread
1 garlic bulb
1 tsp (5 ml) olive oil
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
2 oz (60 g) goat's cheese
1/4 cup (60 ml) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
2 - 3 Tbs (30 - 45 ml) milk
Chopped fresh chives and/or parsley for garnish
Slice the top off the garlic bulb to reveal the cloves. Drizzle with
olive oil and wrap in aluminum foil. Bake in a 400F (200C) oven for 45
minutes. Cool and remove garlic cloves from their skins by gently
squeezing. Mash the garlic with a fork and combine with the remaining
ingredients, mixing well and adding enough milk to achieve a spreadable
consistency. Spoon into a serving bowl and sprinkle with chopped herbs.
Serve with raw vegetables, crackers, or pita bread.
Serves 8 to 12 as an appetizer.
