Here's a good one from Rosemarie Brem of Cheektowaga, NY:
One morning in a posh hotel breakfast room, a guest called over the head
waiter. "Good morning, sir! I'd like to order two boiled eggs, one of
them so undercooked that it's runny, and the other so overcooked that
it's tough. I also want some rubbery bacon, burnt toast, and butter
that's so cold it's impossible to spread. Finally, I'll have a pot of
extra-weak coffee served at room temperature."
The bewildered waiter almost stuttered. "Sir! We cannot serve such an
awful breakfast to you here!"
"Why not?" the guest replied. "That's what I got here yesterday!"

If you have ever ordered this in a Vietnamese restaurant, then
you'll probably agree with me that it's the best iced coffee in the
world. You can use any freshly brewed strong coffee or espresso
with excellent results, but for a truly authentic cup of "ca phe
sua da" you can get the Vietnamese-style drip coffee maker here:

and genuine Vietnamese coffee here:

Vietnamese Iced Coffee
For each serving:
2-3 Tbs (30-45 ml) sweetened condensed milk, or to taste
1/2 cup (125 ml) Vietnamese-style coffee or strong
coffee or espresso
1/2 cup (125 ml) crushed ice
Put the sweetened condensed milk in a glass. Add the coffee
and ice and stir. (If using a Vietnamese-style drip coffee maker,
brew the coffee and let it drip directly into the glass.) Makes
about 1 cup (250 ml).

Although they have been popular in Cuba and in Cuban restaurants
in the US for many years, mojitos have been appearing in some
very unlikely places in recent years. As a result, many bartenders
have taken such liberties with the original drink that they are
sometimes unrecognizable. Here is the real thing:
Mojitos
About 1/4 cup (60 ml) mint leaves
1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh lime juice, or to taste
1 tsp (5 ml) powdered sugar, or to taste
Crushed ice
1/4 cup (60 ml) light rum
1/4 cup (60 ml) club soda
Combine the mint, lime juice, and sugar in a tall narrow glass and
gently press with a muddler or wooden spoon to crush the mint leaves and
dissolve the sugar. Add the ice, pour the rum over the ice, top with the
club soda, and stir. Makes 1 drink.
