Thanks to "DRSPAGHETI" for this one:

When Vickie's co-worker, Dorothy, received a phone call from her
daughter, she heard her exclaim joyfully, "Seven and a half pounds!
I'm so proud!"

After she hung up, Vickie asked Dorothy, "Boy or girl?"

"Neither," answered Dorothy. "Diet."

            TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________

This unusual relish goes well with meats and seafood, and a small
dollop will liven up just about any vegetable dish.

Onion Relish

12-14 medium onions, thinly sliced
6 green bell peppers (capsicums), cored, seeded,
and finely chopped
6 red bell peppers (capsicums), cored, seeded, and
finely chopped
2-4 dried hot chile peppers, chopped (optional)
4 cups (1 L) distilled vinegar
3 cups (750 ml) sugar
3 Tbs (45 ml) salt

Combine the onions and peppers in a large mixing bowl. Cover with
boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes. Drain and repeat with more
boiling water. Drains and combine with the remaining ingredients in
a large non-reactive pot. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce the heat
and simmer covered for 15 minutes. Store in jars sterilized and sealed
according to the manufacturer's directions. Makes about 3 quarts (3 L).
