FOOD FUNNY
__________________________________________________
Thanks to "Torchlakecosier" for this true food funny:
The other day my husband was standing by the egg section of our local
supermarket. A woman next to him was bemoaning the price of eggs as
she was putting three dozen into her cart. Jim pointed out that she
would save a few cents by buying two 18-packs, to which she replied,
"Oh, no! We could never eat that many!"

TODAY'S RECIPE
__________________________________________________
Today's recipe is one of more than 80 recipes for party foods
contained in edition #40 of World Wide Recipes EXTRA! available at
http://www.worldwiderecipes.com/extra.htm
Rather than give quantities for this recipe, I'll just list the
ingredients and give the procedure, and you decide how many to make
based on the number of mouths you have to feed. Plan on 3 to 6 per
person as an hors d'oeuvre.
Smoked Salmon Rolls
Smoked salmon
Cream cheese
Chopped fresh chives or parsley
Sweet pickles or gherkins, cut into small pieces
Cut the salmon into strips about 1/2 inch (1.5 cm) wide and 2 inches
(5 cm) long. Mix the cream cheese and fresh herbs together and spread
on the salmon pieces. Roll the salmon around a piece of pickle and
secure with a toothpick.
