Here's a good one from reader "JerseyTomato":
While visiting a friend in the hospital I noticed several pretty
nurses, each of whom was wearing a little apple jewelry pin. I
stopped one and asked her what the pin signified. "It's just to keep
the doctors away," she said with a smile.

Today's "Quick and Easy" main dish couldn't be much easier, and offers
some variety for the summer backyard grill.
Grilled Curried Chicken
1 1/2 cups (375 ml) plain yogurt
1/2 cup (155 ml) lemon or lime juice
1 Tbs (15 ml) grated lemon or lime peel
1 Tbs (15 ml) finely chopped ginger
1 Tbs (15 ml) ground coriander
1 tsp (5 ml) paprika
1 tsp (5 ml) cayenne pepper, or to taste
1 tsp (5 ml) curry powder
3 - 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
2 chickens, cut into serving pieces
Combine all ingredients except the chicken pieces in a large bowl and
stir to combine. Add the chicken pieces and toss to coat. Marinate
overnight, turning the pieces occasionally. Grill or broil the
chicken until done, basting frequently with the marinade. Serves 4 to
6.
