Reader Bobbie writes, "I just saw this food funny in Readers Digest
and thought it was hilarious, so am sending it on to you."
There was this woman who had really bad dry hair, so she gave herself
a moisturizing treatment using olive oil. That night as she lay next
to her husband, she asked him, "Honey do I smell like olive oil?" His
reply to her, "No, do I smell like Popeye?"

"Salmoriglio" refers to a strong, fragrant sauce from Sicily, which is
also great on chicken, lamb, beef, and fish.
Pork Chops Salmoriglio
1/2 cup (125 ml) extra-virgin olive oil
2 Tbs (30 ml) finely chopped fresh oregano
2 Tbs (30 ml) finely chopped fresh thyme
2 Tbs (30 ml) lemon juice
1 Tbs (15 ml) grated lemon zest
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
4 - 6 pork chops, about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick
Combine the oil, herbs, juice, zest, salt, and pepper in an electric
blender or food processor and process until the sauce is emulsified.
Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and grill or broil until
done, about 5 to 7minutes per side. Spoon the sauce over the chops,
or serve it on the side for diners to help themselves. Serves 4 to 6.
