Reader Joyce Nichols is out to bust the ol' World Wide Recipes
Groan-O-Meter with this one:
A young man had been working as a bag boy in a supermarket for several
years. One day the supermarket got new orange juice machines. The
bag boy was excited and asked the manager if he can work the juice
machines. The manager turned him down. The bag boy said, "But I've
been working here for 5 years; why can't I run the juice machines?"
The manager said, "I'm sorry, but baggers can't be juicers."

The hardest part about putting together this week's "Quick, Easy, and
Different" theme was the "different" part, as you might imagine.
This quick and easy snack is equally appropriate at an elegant
cocktail party or to satisfy a mob of hungry youngsters. No
quantities are given so you can make as many as the occasion calls
for, and if you let the hungry youngsters make their own it might
keep them out of trouble a little while longer.
Pecan "Sandwiches"
Cream cheese at room temperature
Chopped fresh chives
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Pecan halves
Combine the cream cheese, chives, salt, and pepper. Spread a small
amount on a pecan half and top with another pecan half. Serve chilled
or at room temperature.
