::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: FOOD FUNNY :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Thanks to reader Librarilyn for this food funny:

SAY WHAT?

A Jewish man took his Passover lunch to eat outside in the park. He
sat down on a bench and began eating. Since Jews do not eat leavened
bread during the eight day holiday, he was eating Matzoh, a flat
crunchy unleavened bread that has dozens of perforations.

A little while later a blind man came by and sat down next to him.
Feeling neighborly, the Jewish man passed a sheet of matzo to the
blind man.

The blind man handled the matzo for a few minutes, looked puzzled, and
finally exclaimed, Who the heck wrote this stuff?

::::::::::::::::::::::::::: TODAY'S RECIPE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This is a great dish to serve when you want to impress somebody. Just
don't let on that it is so easy to make.

Coffee Parfait

2 Tbs (30 ml) cornstarch (cornflour)
3/4 cup (180 ml) sugar
A pinch of salt
2 Tbs (30 ml) milk
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 cup strong black coffee or espresso
1+1/2 cups (375 ml) whipping cream
Additional whipped cream for topping
Ground cinnamon

Combine all ingredients except for the whipping cream in a saucepan
and hold over another pot of simmering water. Stir constantly until
the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon. Chill in the
refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours. Whip the cream until it is light but
not stiff and fold into the coffee mixture. Serve in parfait cups or
stemmed wine glasses and top with additional whipped cream and a light
dusting of cinnamon. Serves 4 to 6..
