Reader Merrick C. Walton says "A couple of your recent jokes
reminded me of this classic:

A passenger on a train visited the dining car and ordered a bowl of
soup. When delivered, it had a fly in it and the outraged passenger
wrote to the president of the railroad, expressing his dismay and
vowing never to ride that railroad again. Then he received a letter
form the president, apologizing profusely, vowing that this was an
unprecedented occurrence and explaining the steps that had been taken
to insure it never happened again. The passenger was almost persuaded
until he discovered that the envelope also contained a small slip of
paper containing his name and address and the handwritten notation:
"Send this jerk the bug letter."

Here's the Classic Jewish recipe I promised for today:

Chicken Soup with Matzos

6 to 8 cups (1.5 - 2 L) chicken stock, fresh or canned
3 matzos, cut into small pieces
3 to 4 egg yolks
1 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon

Add the matzos to the chicken stock and bring to a boil over high
heat. Reduce the heat and simmer 15 minutes. Remove the stock from
the heat. In a small bowl mix the egg yolks and the cinnamon. Add
about 1 cup (250 ml) of the soup to the egg mixture a little at a
time, stirring constantly. Pour the egg mixture into the soup,
stirring until slightly thickened. Serves 4 to 6.
