Real Mannequin

"About Half"

"What's your father's occupation?" asked
the school secretary on the first day of the
new academic year.

"He's a magician, Ma'am" said the new boy.

"How interesting. What's his favorite trick?"

"He saws people in half."

"Gosh! Now, next question. Any brothers
or sisters?"

"One half brother and two half sisters."

"Real Mannequin"

While attending the Grand Opening at our
new shopping mall, my married daughter and
I stopped in front of a new dress shop. Four
  mannequins were dressed and displayed in
the entrance. My 4 year old son (he's 18 now)
was magnetically attracted to one mannequin
in particular. The outfit was beautiful and sparkly.
My son began touching the shoes, ran his hands
up the legs and stopped at the knee but continued
rubbing and playing with the hem of the dress.

Looking at the mannequin and then at each other,
my daughter and I weren't sure. I told him twice
to come away and not do that, he would get the
clothes dirty. When the eye blinked I really spoke
up then. Four girls walked out of the store and the
four mannequins came to life, stepping down as
their shift was over. One scared little boy came to
mom on the run, one mannequin, red faced,
laughed all the way back in to the store. The 20-30
people with us, all laughing didn't help make his
day either. He has not had an interest in
mannequins since.
