As it was quite well publicized in Australia, and
I have subscribers just about everywhere, I now
know why the athletes received 51 condoms each.
The athletes are apparently in the village for 17
days, and someone figured that 3 units per day is
just about adequate. Hmmm...
The interesting part is that both the men and the
women received equal number. Thus, since one
doesn't usually use 2 condoms at once, there are
really 6 condoms available to use per day, provided
the athletes do it with each other and not with some
other simple mortal folks.
(Athletes by name, athletes by nature?)
