Who says burgers are just for summertime grilling? There's nothing like
a good burger any time of the year, and this stovetop version is
absolutely first-rate!
Bistro Onion Burgers
from Campbell's Kitchen
Prep Time: 5 min.
Cook Time: 10 min.
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 envelope (about 1 ounce) dry onion soup and recipe mix
3 tablespoons water
6 Pepperidge FarmŽ Farmhouse Premium White Rolls with Sesame Seeds,
split and toasted
Lettuce leaves
Tomato slices
1. Thoroughly mix the beef, soup mix and water. Shape* *the beef
mixture into *6* (1/2-inch thick) burgers.
2. Cook the burgers in batches in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high
heat until well browned on both sides, 10 minutes for medium or to
desired doneness.
3. Serve the burgers on the rolls. Top with the lettuce and tomato.
Makes: 6 servings.

The fat content in ground beef varies. That labeled "hamburger"
can contain up to 30% fat. Ground chuck is leaner at 15 to 20% fat, and
is arguably the best choice for burgers. Ground round and sirloin are
the leanest options, weighing in at about 11% fat.
