to make grilled steak even better!

Smokin' Cheese Steak
from Campbell's Kitchen

Prep Time: 10 min. Cook Time: 15 min.

1 tbsp. olive oil
1 large sweet onion, coarsely chopped (about 2 cups)
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's(R) Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp. ground chipotle chile pepper
2 medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped (about 1 1/2 cups)
2 lb. skirt or beef flank steak, 1-inch thick, cut into 8 pieces
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves (optional)

Directions:
Heat the oil in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and
cook for 5 minutes or until it's tender.
Stir the soup, milk, chile pepper and tomatoes in the saucepan. Reduce
the heat to low. Cook and stir for 3 minutes or until the mixture is hot
and bubbling. Remove the saucepan from the heat and keep warm.
Lightly oil the grill rack and heat the grill to medium. Grill the beef
for 15 minutes for medium or to desired doneness, turning the beef over
once during grilling. Spoon the sauce over the beef and sprinkle with
the cilantro, if desired. Serves 8.

Kitchen Clip:
The smokiness in this recipe comes from the chipotle chili powder. If
you don't like the flavor of chipotle, substitute an equal amount of
plain chili powder.
