Italian-Style Pepper Steak

preparation for supper tonight.

Italian-Style Pepper Steak
from Campbell's Kitchen

Prep Time: 15 min. - Cook Time: 25 min.

1 lb. boneless beef sirloin OR top round steak, 3/4" thick
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 medium green pepper OR red pepper, cut into strips
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 tsp. garlic powder OR 4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups Prego(R) Traditional Pasta Sauce
2 cups hot cooked spaghetti

Directions:
 SLICE beef into thin strips.
 HEAT half the oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef until
browned, stirring often. Set beef aside.
 HEAT remaining oil. Add pepper, onion and garlic powder and cook over
medium heat until vegetables are tender, stirring often.
 ADD pasta sauce. Heat to a boil. Return beef to skillet. Heat through.
Serve over spaghetti. Serves 4.
To make slicing easier, freeze beef 1 hr.

Kitchen Clip:
Keep cooked spaghetti hot in hot water up to 30 minutes; drain well just
before serving.
